The Role 
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically inclined Data Administrator to join our growing team. In this newly created role, you will be the central point of contact for all things data, bringing order to a wide variety of client data formats and sources that currently flow through multiple channels across the business.

You will work closely with our account management and development teams to centralize data operations, standardize our data ingestion processes, and help build out the internal tools our teams rely on. If you love working with data, enjoy solving structural puzzles, and take pride in clean and well-organized systems, this role was built for you.

Location: Calgary, AB (Crowfoot Business Centre, NW)

What You'll Do

• Receive, assess, and process client data arriving in various formats and from multiple sources
• Standardize data formats and define the tables and structures needed to support our systems
• Upload and manage large datasets into our database, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Handle data entry requests including adding vendors, equipment records, and other structured data into internal systems
• Load and configure data using our internal Form Builder tool
• Define and manage coordinate formats, field structures, and data relationships within the tool
• Partner with our development team to help build and improve a new data management tool
• Act as the primary owner of data requests across the organization
• Proactively identify data quality issues and recommend improvements

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in a data, database, or data operations role
• Experience working with diverse data formats (CSV, JSON, Excel, etc.) and mapping them into structured systems
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality and organization
• Comfortable with repetitive, precision-based work such as bulk data loads and structured data entry
• Experience in SQL, Python or other related tools is strongly preferred
• Experience working with internal tooling, form builders, or low-code platforms
• Familiarity with GIS or coordinate-based data (lat/long, spatial formats)
• Background in energy, SaaS, or data-intensive industries

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Manager to oversee one of AbaData’s major accounts. This is both a strategic and hands-on role ensuring enterprise deployment is successfully executed, troubleshooting client issues in partnership with the Customer Support and Technical teams, and smooth onboarding and adoption of new areas of the business.  You will act as the senior point of contact for operational leaders, field teams, and senior stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Field Data Capture (FDC) solutions who understands how enterprise customers operate in the field and knows how to translate technology into operational needs.

Location: Calgary, AB (onsite in NW Calgary)

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a major enterprise account, serving as the primary relationship lead for operational, technical stakeholders, and executives.

• Build long-term, trusted partnerships by deeply understanding client operations, and field workflows.

• Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with customer needs, operational maturity, and long-term strategy.

• Ensure successful onboarding, adoption, and ongoing optimization of AbaData solutions across field and office teams.

• Leverage Field Data Capture experience to guide best practices, improve data quality, and streamline field-to-office workflows.

• Conduct hands-on product demonstrations in field and office environments, tailored to enterprise use cases.

• Act as the voice of the customer internally, collaborating with development and customer support teams.

• Represent AbaData at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as a trusted subject matter expert.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in account management within the energy sector or industrial technology space.

• Experience working with Field Data Capture (FDC) solutions in an account management or customer-facing role.

• Experience managing large enterprise-level accounts with multiple stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of field operations, data collection workflows, and operational technology used in energy or regulated industries.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced, growing company.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior leadership and field operations leaders.

What You’ll be doing

• Collaborate with product experts and developers to design and deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions
• Lead the design and implementation of client-side, server-side, and database architectures
• Build intuitive, polished front-end experiences with a strong focus on usability
• Develop new products for the AbaData platform and customized solutions for customers
• Design, develop, and maintain robust databases and applications
• Create and maintain efficient, secure APIs
• Ensure software is thoroughly tested for performance, responsiveness, and reliability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems as the platform evolves
• Apply and maintain best practices for security and data protection
• Build features with a mobile-responsive and mobile-first mindset

Who we are looking for

• 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with deep expertise in C#/.NET and SQL
• Proven experience designing and building both front-end and back-end application components
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks or libraries
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server databases
• Experience developing desktop and/or native mobile applications (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio) is an asset
• Exposure to GIS development (e.g., ESRI JSAPI) is a strong plus
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is welcome
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
